Since its founding in 2020 by Josen Tripura, the Evangelical Reformed Church has been on a mission to serve God by serving people. Our work is rooted in the belief that true ministry is not just preaching but walking alongside those in need, offering both spiritual guidance and practical support. Through our programs, we strive to transform lives, strengthen families, and bring hope to communities that are often forgotten.
In remote villages where schools are scarce and children are often forced to work instead of study, our Sunday School programs provide a lifeline. Here, children learn about God’s love, moral values, and the importance of education.
Take Rina, for example. An orphan living with her elderly grandmother, she had never attended school. Her days were spent helping her grandmother gather firewood and fetch water, with little hope for a better future. When Josen Tripura visited her village, he offered her a place in our Sunday School and hostel. Today, Rina is thriving — she studies, prays, and dreams of becoming a teacher one day. Her smile and eagerness to learn are a living testament to the power of faith and opportunity.
Many villages in Bangladesh remain unreached, isolated by mountains, forests, or lack of roads. Our team travels tirelessly, often walking for hours or days, to bring the Gospel to these communities.
In a small village called Faitong, there were no churches and very few believers. Families lived in fear, struggling with poverty and illness. When Josen and his team arrived, they held prayer gatherings under trees, shared stories from the Bible, and trained locals to lead worship. Today, that village has a small congregation, and families meet weekly for prayer, fellowship, and guidance. Their lives are slowly being transformed by the message of Christ.
Poverty should never rob a child of their education. We provide financial support, school materials, and mentorship to underprivileged families, ensuring that children can attend school without fear of hunger or deprivation.
Karim, a boy from a remote village, used to walk three hours daily just to reach a small school. Often, he returned home hungry and exhausted. Through our support, Karim now has a desk, chair, books, and a safe place to study. His parents, who once worried they couldn’t provide for him, now see hope for their son’s future. Stories like Karim’s are repeated across every community we serve.
Caring for orphaned children is at the heart of our ministry. Many children arrive hungry, without beds, or without guidance. We provide a safe home with proper beds, fans, electricity, and nutritious meals.
Currently, 30 children from remote villages live in our hostel. They are not just safe; they are nurtured. Every child receives personal attention, guidance in studies, and spiritual mentorship. Maya, an orphaned girl, came to us shy and withdrawn. After months in the hostel, she has blossomed into a confident student, actively participating in Sunday School and community activities. Our hostels are places where God’s love is tangible, where hope is restored, and where children can dream again.
In countless villages, people suffer from illness, disability, and neglect. Josen Tripura personally visits these individuals, offering prayer, care, and medical assistance when possible.
Abdul, an elderly man who had lost his family, lived alone and bedridden. Neighbors had given up on him. When Josen visited, he arranged for medicine, provided food, and prayed with Abdul daily. Today, Abdul is healthier, spiritually uplifted, and feels part of a community again. Our work among the sick and vulnerable reminds us that ministry is practical, relational, and deeply personal.
Transforming lives also means equipping people with knowledge and faith. We conduct training sessions, Bible studies, and mentorship programs for new believers and seekers. These programs teach practical life skills, spiritual principles, and leadership, enabling individuals to positively influence their families and communities.
In villages where superstition and fear once ruled, these disciples now lead small prayer gatherings, help neighbors in need, and inspire others to live by God’s Word. Through this approach, the Gospel spreads naturally and sustainably, changing entire communities from within.
Every journey, every visit, every meal served, every prayer offered is part of a larger vision: bringing light to the forgotten corners of Bangladesh. Families who had lost hope now see God’s love through tangible acts of service. Children who once thought education impossible now have futures filled with possibility. Communities that were spiritually and socially isolated are now thriving in faith and fellowship.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress.” — James 1:27
